About Holly Mesarch

I am a passionate performer and advocate for the arts, especially in underserved communities. My 18+ years of experience running and managing a large family of five neuro-diverse children has taught me how to problem-solve complex situations with many moving parts, manage tense situations, calmly take charge, and overall-get the job done. My 16 years of private voice and piano instruction equipped me with piano and teaching skills and the ability to adapt to the various types of learning styles. I was also able to recognize when another teacher would better suit a student and help them find the right person. It is more important that the student enjoy their lessons than that I be their instructor. I focused on helping students find a healthy vocal production so they could enjoy success singing in their desired venue whether that be in competitions or for close family and friends.I have continued leading church choirs as a volunteer, since January 2001.My goals are to both perform locally and share the joy of classical music with the El Paso Community, expanding into the Southwest/Rio Grande areas.I continue to hone my skills as a singer through personal voice study and performing locally as a Resident Artist with El Paso Opera.Specialties: My training lies in classical-style singing, although I am occasionally called up to sing in other genres (e.g. musical theater, jazz). I am a capable and versatile singer. I'm known for my fresh song interpretations and playful characterizations.
