About Holly Pearson

My name is Holly Pearson-Tyas. I am an experianced lecturer on the BSc Psychology with Criminology Degree at University Campus North Linconshire. I am a fully qualified Further and Higher Education Lecturer, lecturing at UCNL and Doncaster University Centre on the BA (hons) Criminal Justice. I hold a BA (hons) in Childhood Studies and Social Sciences, a Masters of Science (MSc) in Psychology and Neuroscience, and a diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling with accreditation to practice from the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM). My Research Specialisms are founded in child and adolescent psychology, personality analysis and subconscious behavioural analysis. My Masters Thesis explored the quantitative link between the five main personality traits and Impulsivity in young adults to explore recurring risky behaviours.I am interested in undertaking research that recognises how the subconscious influences behaviour, language and action in extreme crimes of homicidal ideation. I have a very high level of interest in Psychology and Criminology, and I actively engage in CPD to ensure I am continually at the forefront of my discipline and subject area. The facilitation and and support of all students is paramount to me, with my credentials and teaching experience underpinning my approaches to teaching and pedagogical practice.
