About Holly Ruffhead

I am a multidisciplinary project manager, with an academic background in both International Development (MA) and Ecology (BSc), with 8 years of project management experience in international development. My main professional interest is in food security and sustainable livelihoods but I also have experience of working on projects on integrated pest management, public health (particularly related to HIV/AIDS), ICT4D, endangered species, and invasive species. I have experience in running both small and particularly large projects, including with ODA compliance, in either single or multiple countries and have lots of on the ground experience across Africa and Asia. I am use to working either alone or in partnership with in country government ministries, commercial partners and academics. I also have a keen interest in monitoring and evaluation and have often run my own M&E on smaller internal projects or have had close oversight of independent reviews of my projects. I am also used to having to development and manage projects that are sustainable after project funding.
