About Holly Shiach

With 30 years experience in environmental education and advocacy, with local and international NGO's, local and state government, private business, and schools in Australia and overseas, I have a broad knowledge of the environmental field and an ability to work across cultures and sectors. I develop and coordinate innovative projects and programs with core skills in strategic planning, research and development, training and coordination of teams, collaboration, communications, engagement, writing, media, social media, and hands on project work. I have a special interest area in regenerative agriculture including permaculture and seed sovereignty and a passion for all things botanical. I have worked on GMO and forests campaigns, NRM, bushland restoration, community supported agriculture, agri- business, marine conservation and youth and community education. I am inspired by nature and environmental philosophies including deep ecology, which influence my work and drive my work ethic. At home I am custodian of a 40 acre wildlife refuge where I cultivate cut flowers and a forest ecology. In 2023 I raised 1.75 million for youth mental health :)
