About Holly Wilson

I am located in the Lake District, Cumbria, and went on to get a degree through the Open University in Cyber Security. While studying, I worked in multiple customer-facing roles in retail and then in a front-of-house role with the National Trust. I was then offered the opportunity to work in the Rural Payments Agency which allowed me to practice my administrative and data entry skills in an office setting. I have now completed my degree and would love to work within the IT sector. My biggest passion is tech; I've grown up my entire life around PCs and game consoles from as early as I can remember. I remember coding my first websites on Piczo/Bebo when I was around 10 years old. I can build PCs, I can take them apart too! I can code websites, I can problem solve, I can platinum some games in a few hours. I graduated from the Open University in May 2024, and from then I have still been polishing my skills with more languages. I have primarily coded in Python, SQL, Java, Javascript, HTML, PHP, and CSS. Specializing in cyber security meant I focused more on how businesses keep themselves secure online and what precautions they have to take, as well as how best to test these methods. In my spare time, I love playing video games, collecting video-game memorabilia, and running social media accounts showcasing my hoard. I stream from time to time, which is where I get to show off my parrots too who are my babies:)
