About Honor MacKley

Honor Mackley is passionate about play-based learning in digital contexts and her research is pioneering how practitioners navigate challenges that continue to problematize the use of digital technologies in the early years. With a particular interest in examining digital technologies through a post-digital lens, Honor's research considers the relationship between tinkering makerspaces and digital technologies in Early Childhood Education and Care settings. Honor’s research interests also extend to developing school-aged children’s health and physical wellbeing outcomes motivated by her extensive experience as a primary and secondary Health and Physical Education teacher. Honor has a growing research track record developed through a range of research roles across large national linkage projects. Her aim is to continue to participate in the generation of contemporary evidence-based research that contributes to best practices in education.
