About Hope Evans
I am a first-year Graduate Student at Florida State University, pursuing my M.A. in Public History with an interest in historic preservation and architectural history. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida State University with a minor in political science in April of 2022. In 2023, I became the Curator and Education Director at the John G. Riley Center & Museum in Tallahassee, FL. Now, as the Education Director and Curatorial Assistant, I have been extremely fortunate to have various duties, such as curating for upcoming exhibits, guiding tours, creating lesson plans, leading our summer camp, website and office management, research, and writing. I have been given the opportunity to research and write for several projects, including a children’s book, exhibit panels, grants, and a coffee table book. My goal is to make history accessible to all ages and educational backgrounds. I strive to have my work encourage local participation in history and preservation within our community.
