About Hope Sutton

AML investigation is similar to finding a needle in a haystack and I’ve found myself thoroughly enjoying digging into a haystack, uncovering the needle, and uncovering all of the other valuable information that can be exposed. My first position in AML allowed me to hone leadership skills as I quickly became promoted so I could lead teams and offer my help to other analysts. I facilitated conversations with our clients about meetings industry standards and helped adapt their processes to work more efficiently and productively. My second and current position in AML has allowed me to hone the developing skills of understanding suspect and unusual activity from my previous role. I have become an effective cross functional communicator, skilled collaborator, and solutions oriented professional. While exceeding my production and quality expectations, I have worked with others on my team on difficult, cross divisional cases and have demonstrated my understanding of industry and company standards. Online educating has helped me continue to develop empathy and understanding for others. I lead lectures and provided real-world examples for my students to better understand the importance of the literature and written skills they were learning. Educating is a passion of mine - learning to teach each individual and meeting their needs is an art form I am still learning everyday. I hope to continue to expand my problem solving, rapidly adaptive, and goal oriented mindset in my professional career. Utilizing the skills I have acquired teaching others has benefitted me immensely in my AML experience as it allows me to help train and teach others; I am passionate about helping others learn and better investigate suspect activity. It is my hope that I am able to integrate my love of teaching and managing others with my passion for dissecting information and discovering suspect activity.
