Houston Bailey is immersed in the petrochemical industry, currently employed full-time as a Field Engineer at Kiewit Energy U.S. In April 2024, he relocated from Houston, TX, to Orange, TX, to seize a project-based opportunity as a Contract Administrator for Kiewit’s procurement district, KSN. In this role, Houston manages $250 million in material contracts daily, interfaces with client Chevron Phillips Chemical, collaborates with joint venture partner Japanese Gasoline Company (JGC), and coordinates with over 20 on-site subcontractors, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety.An Aggie at heart, Houston earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, class of 2023. During his time at Texas A&M, he gained diverse professional experience through two summer internships, served as a coding peer teacher for one semester, worked as a strength and conditioning attendant at the university’s student recreational center, and participated in several campus-recognized organizations, including the Professional Brotherhood of Engineers.In the summer of 2022, Houston interned with Huntsman International LLC, where he was part of the maintenance and reliability team at their Performance Products chemical plant in Conroe, TX. His responsibilities included diagnosing and maintaining fixed and rotating equipment, developing expertise in mechanical seal plans and P & IDs, and conducting field observations and tests. He also performed audits on spare equipment and attended specialized trainings from industry leaders like Flowserve.In 2021, Houston interned at Wolverine OFT, an upstream oil and gas equipment design and manufacturing firm. There, he utilized SolidWorks to design a proprietary hydraulically assisted manufacturing table to enhance the production of downhole equipment, demonstrating his ability to innovate and deliver solutions from concept to completion.Outside of his professional life, Houston is heavily involved in Ainsley's Angels of America - an inclusive organization facilitating to children and adults with special needs. Houston also enjoys Photography and DJs as a service.Houston thrives on building meaningful connections and enjoys meeting new people.
