About Howard Bashford

Managing Partner of Rock Solid Foundations LLC, the producer of DependaBase basement products. This manufacturing company is the outcome of fifteen years and more than $5 million of research and development by Dr. Bashford, focused upon dramatically improving the construction process to produce higher value buildings at a faster pace and a lower cost. DependaBase facilitates the introduction of new manufacturing technologies such as continuous improvement, lean thinking, and the elimination of errors and waste into the residential construction process. Dr. Bashford received BS and MS degrees from the University of Wyoming, and the PhD from Brigham Young University in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Utah and Arizona. DependaBase has decades of academic understanding behind it’s initiatives. Dr. Howard Bashford, a co-founder was retained by the US EPA as part of the team to develop the acclaimed Energy Star Homes Program. Dr. Bashford additionally was awarded a prestigious grant from the National Science Foundation to launch the Arizona Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing, which subsequently became the Housing Research Initiative at Arizona State University. He has been repeatedly retained by many US home builders. He is a licensed civil engineer in Utah and Arizona.
