About Howard Bernstein

I have more than 30 years of experience in law, corporate financial management, auditing, accounting, financial analysis, sales, marketing, and management consulting. I work primarily with individuals and small and mid-sized companies. My law firm has been selected as Boulder's Best in the Colorado Daily's readers' poll. I am a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar of the State of Colorado, where my practice emphasizes international law, small business law, employment and taxation. I am also a member of the California Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants. I am actively involved in the international and domestic distribution of a diverse selection of products for clients both in the U.S. and abroad. I am active in and make it a priority to give back to the community. I serve on the Board of Directors for OpenArts (formerly Open Studios), as Colorado Chapter President of the American Association of Attorney-CPAs, provide pro bono assistance through Colorado Legal Services and Boulder County Legal Services, raise money for The Children's Hospital by riding in the Courage Classic cycling tour, and assist non-profit organizations at reduced fees. The Boulder County Bar Association recognized my contribution to the disadvantaged in my community through Boulder County Legal Services by awarding me the John Robert Marshall Pro Bono Award. I have also been selected as Best Lawyer in the Colorado Daily Boulder's Best readers' poll. I have lectured on legal ethics, taxation and employment topics for lawyers and am a regular moderator at the Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado.
