Howard Sims Biography – Nov 2016 My Background includes over thirty years of corporate, academic, professional training, and business ownership experience. Information Technology Consultant I have worked as Information Technology consultant for the last twenty years and I have an in-depth knowledge and experience of Personal Computer hardware and software, Local Area Networks setup and installation, computer networking, premises based telecommunication systems, and VoIP systems in business environment. Technology Trainer and Instructor Also, I have a passion for teaching and I am instructor teaching micro computer technology and applications courses to university and community college students in both classroom and online environments in Northern New Jersey. Finally, I have worked as corporate and academic training instructor for last twenty years teaching sales training, technical, and application software courses for Fortune 500 companies like AT & T, Verizon, Kean University, Union and Passaic Community Colleges Business Owner Friendware Computer Systems Our family has operated a Computer Information Technology infrastructure company in West Orange for last twenty years where we specialize in providing computer and networking solutions to businesses in New York and New Jersey offering Point of Sales Solutions, Surveillance Cameras systems, VoIP telephone systems and Onsite Technical support and training to lower their operating cost and improve their operational effectiveness. I consult and work with NJ based clients regarding their computer networks and software including their Windows Server Operating Systems and Windows Operating systems including Windows 7, 8, and 10. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. I have industry recognized Certifications in Microsoft Office, Comptia A+ and Cisco CCNA.
