About Howard Wright

As the VP, Global Head of Startups at Amazon Web Services (AWS), I have over 20 years of experience in driving new business development, strategy, and strategic partnerships across various technology sectors. I am passionate about discovering unicorn-class startups from around the world and equipping them with the right AWS cloud services to lower their costs, help them become more agile, and innovate faster. With a BA in Qualitative Economics and an Executive Education from Stanford University, I have a strong background in applying data-driven insights and analytical thinking to solve complex business problems and create value for customers and stakeholders. I also have a unique perspective as a former professional basketball player and a current board member of several non-profit organizations that promote education, character development, and social impact through sports and technology. I am thrilled to be part of the AWS team and to contribute to its mission of enabling the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
