Howri Mansurbeg is a sedimentary geologist with expertise in diagenesis of siliciclastic and carbonate reservoirs. He has obtained his PhD from Uppsala University, Sweden, in 2007. His current research deals with hydrocarbon exploration in carbonate reservoirs in the Middle East and siliciclastic deposits in the North Sea, utilizing an integrated multidisciplinary approach. Howri has worked for several international oil companies in Europe and the US and has produced many confidential technical reports and research articles in the past 15 years. He is currently professor at the General Directorate of Scientific Research Center, Salahaddin University, Erbil, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He is also an adjunct professor at the School of the Environment, University of Windsor, Windsor, Canada.
