About Hsiao Ko

I earned my Master of Fine art in the Fashion Design program at the Academy of Art University with an emphasis in women’s wear. Also, I have taken knitwear design as my second degree. The Graduate Design program is known for being strict and demanding, which has allowed me to hone my multi-tasking, organizational, problem-solving, sewing, machine knitting skills. Other than fashion, I have the background of industrial design which helps me build up better design line and unique eyes on trim or buckles when I do designs. My passion for women’s wear focus on stylish, colorful, fun and functional perspective as I have the background in Industrial design. I like to focus on the details for the garments which I think is the essential reason for a brand’s success. I am a quick learner of everything including the software parts, as I know 3d modeling programs such as 3dsmax and AutoCAD. Moreover, with 2 years’ work experience in China, one year as a product manager, give me more professional character while doing the design independently as well as working with a team. I believe that I would be a very strong candidate.
