About Hubert Boulet

After more than ten years head of field operations and sales manager for a private ecotourism company (hunting and photographic safaris in five African countries), I spent three years as technical advisor for the setting-up and the development of communities hunting areas in Central African Republic, within the ECOFAC program funded by the European Union. Then, for two years, I served as technical assistant to the Nigerian component for the rehabilitation of the W Transfrontier Park project within the ECOPAS program funded by the European Union as well. Thereafter, I worked almost two years with ZAWA (Zambia Wildlife Authority), within the scope of a World Bank project, as "Park Manager" of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park in Livingstone (Zambia), before joining in April 2006, the International Foundation for Wildlife Conservation (IGF Foundation) as Deputy Director to support the Director in charge of the management, monitoring and development of the projects. Since January 2009, I am serving as Executive Director for the IGF Foundation branch in Mozambique and as such I lead and manage the technical, financial and administrative parts of the following projects:(i) Co-Management of Gilé National Reserve and its periphery - Zambezia Province,(ii) Technical assistance to "Direcção Nacional das Áreas of Conservação" for the protection and management of wildlife in hunting areas and Niassa Buffalo Project:"Understanding the mechanisms limiting the buffalo population in Niassa National Reserve." Furthermore, I am in charge of the projects’ communications, all relationships with donors and national, regional and local governments, as well as the organization and monitoring of the various workshops and meetings organized within the framework of these projects.
