Hubert Slings (1967) heeft plezier en vaardigheid in het ontwikkelen en (helpen) uitvoeren van allerhande educatief en didactisch georiënteerde projecten, vooral op het terrein van de geesteswetenschappen. Hij is directeur van stichting entoen.nu die de canon van Nederland beheert en hoofdredacteur van en de schooleditiereeks Tekst in Context. In promoveerde hij op Toekomst voor de Middeleeuwen. Middelnederlandse literatuur in het voortgezet onderwijs. Van 2005 tot 2007 was hij secretaris van de commissie Ontwikkeling Nederlandse Canon ('commissie Van Oostrom') en van 2007 tot 2008 van de commissie Nationaal Plan Toekomst Geesteswetenschappen ('commissie Cohen'). Ook werkte hij voor Anno, het promotiebureau voor Nederlandse geschiedenis, en het Nationaal Historisch Museum.
