About Huda Akef
I am an engineer by training, and have recently ventured into a different path to educate myself on psychology and education, and explore the many factors that play into children's development and learning; cognitively, socially and morally. I am especially interested in the role of parenting practices, and the extent to which they are affected by culture and religion. I recognise the multitude of disciplines that will help paint a clearer picture, from exploring theories of mind and cognitive processes to evaluating pedagogies and practices. With a background rife with data management and processing, I'm excited to build my research experience, and continue working towards bridging academic research and parent education.
