Teaching and Learning: Dedicated lecturer with longstanding experience in Teaching and Learning undergraduates and postgraduates that has earned me a renowned recognition of SFHEA of The Higher Education Academy, Advanced HE. A trained teaching observer to support new and existing academic colleagues in advancing their teaching and learning practices in the classrooms. I regularly sit on KAPS assessor panel to review HEA membership applications of Advance HE to promote teaching excellence. A Module Leader of Chemistry for Pharmacy Foundation Year and Analytical & Experimental Chemistry. I also teach on Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Sciences courses. My teaching philosophy is to work in partnership with the students in order to foster diversity and inclusion. A personal tutor for 33 tutees to support them during their university journey RSC certified mentor with extended mentoring experience to staff within my school and across the university to support academic profession and further enhance students’ experience. Research: Equally passionate about research with track record in interdisciplinary research projects, reviewed many articles in several Journals for Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, and Polymers & Polymer Composites. My research work-interests included: 1. Ajwa dates as an anti-cancer therapy, treatment, and/or prevention. Migration of microplastics in food & drink packaging. Pedagogical research on academic and soft skills. Nano-ceramics for medical applications. EU-sponsored - joint collaboration between Imperial College, London and University Claude Bernard, Lyon, France. Biophysics in relation to dentistry, biomaterials, radiography and crystallography. MRC- sponsored. Conducting polyaniline and derivatives, rubber blends and composites. EPSRC - sponsored joint KU & North London. Liquid fingerprints studies through surface tension measurements. AQUA EU-sponsored project. Biodegradable polymer blends and glass ionomers for bone scaffolds. Nanotechnology - Titanium dioxide analysis in selected of toothpastes. Risk assessments of harmful chemicals in selected cosmetics. Alzheimer heredity or environmental and current management.
