Including: • Lean and Green Project with Impact Washington. Saved companies over $3 million and reduced over 1 million pounds of pollution. • Ecology’s Energy Efficiency program with WSU Extension Energy and local Utilities. Saved companies over $2.7 million and reduced energy use by over 25 million kWh. • Supporting Paint Spray Efficiency Training Workshops with PNW Pollution Prevention Resource Center. Saved companies over $2 million for Washington State painting and coating businesses. • Ecology’s TREE [Technical Resources for Engineering Efficiency] Program with multiple Ecology environmental Programs. Saved over $3 million for Washington companies to date. • Big gratitude for US EPA Region 10 Pollution Prevention Office, Ecology’s partner and co-funder on many of our innovative and effective toxics and environmental impact reduction projects. Our Toxics Reduction team provides non-regulatory, technical assistance to over 500 WA businesses and government facilities each year. These businesses/facilities have reduced hazardous waste generation by more than 60% in Washington State since 1992. Toxic emissions from WA manufacturers have also decreased by over 50% over the same time period.
