About Hugo Hormazabal

I am an experienced educator with a passion for creating inspiring and individualized learning experiences. My teaching journey spans from guiding young children as young as two years old to mentoring college students at New York University. I have taught at institutions such as Lake Montessori in Leesburg, FL, and Continuum Montessori in Windermere, FL. Currently, I serve as Curriculum Director and Teacher Trainer at Lake Montessori, where I am dedicated to fostering a world-class educational environment rooted in a universal holistic approach, supported by exceptional educators, and designed to inspire, nurture, and empower students. As a fourth-generation educator in a family of teachers, I bring a legacy of commitment to education and a strong belief in the transformative power of learning. I am a firm advocate for alternative education models, understanding that every child is unique and deserves an approach tailored to their individual needs. My goal is to champion innovative, student-centered teaching methods that ignite curiosity, foster growth, and prepare learners for a dynamic future. I studied Montessori education at the renowned International Centre for Montessori Studies (CISM) in Bergamo, Italy and finished my studies at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education (CMTE) in New Rochelle, New York. I am currently working on my doctorate in school administration from the University of Florida.
