I may be the most boring person in the room, but I come alive when transforming data into actionable insights and managing risk. My journey in risk management began at American Express, where I started as a modeler and expanded my risk learning to cover every aspect of the credit card lifecycle—from origination and underwriting to authorization, credit actions, collections, and fraud prevention. This foundational experience deepened my risk management knowledge and set the stage for a career focused on mastering risk through data-driven insights. At Early Warning Services, I took on payment network risk by developing frameworks and processes that enhanced risk monitoring and management without requiring multimillion-dollar investments. In my most recent role in operational risk management, I demonstrated my execution skills by rescuing a GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) system migration project. This achievement saved $20K in monthly delays and doubled system adoption to over 60% in under a year, thanks to effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. This project broadened my understanding of risk management across all three lines of defense and highlighted the critical role of technology in refining these practices.
