Advising the corporation on UAE and foreign law matters (including employment, telecommunication, regulatory, finance, property, real estate, intellectual property, information technology, corporate and commercial law and any relevant law to the corporation's business); and to the effect in preparing legal opinions, reports, memoranda and correspondance on issues referred to the Legal Affairs Department for advice or opinion in relation to various fields of law aforementioned. Follow up and monitoring, participating, in conjunction with the concerned departments, units or other competent bodies of the corporation, in the investigation of internal disputes, transgressions, unlawful violations of the internal rules and regulations of the corporation, and for opining on and recommending appropriate action thereon, and for carrying the same into effect, including bringing legal action of any nature (whether criminal civil and administrative, commercial, personal law or otherwise), as well as fully fledged litigation dispute resolution mechanisms, or settlements. Acting as a focal point and in managing the relationship between the corporation and its external counsel, advocate, consultants, etc in all matters involving the corporation referred to them and fall within the scope of the duties and responsibilities of the legal affairs department. Proposing and establishing, professional legal support and opinion management practices and procedures, as would ensure a certain, consistent and prudent legal advice and action, and faster and efficient service. Monitoring and advising on the impact of new laws, decrees, regulations and sub-legislation promulgated by the government and/or legislative, regulatory or other relevant/responsible bodies that effect or may effect the activities of the corporation in the realm of contracts or related areas.
