About Humza Powers

As an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Kiewit, one of the US's largest design and construction companies, I lead the coordination, facilitation, and execution of operational strategies across all construction projects. With over three years of experience in mechanical engineering and process improvement, I have developed and implemented solutions that optimize cost, quality, and operational efficiency, aligning with technical and financial requirements to enhance project outcomes. I am also a U.S. Department of Education Gilman Scholar and an MBA candidate at New Mexico State University, where I am expanding my knowledge and skills in business administration and management. I am passionate about applying my engineering and business acumen to solve complex problems and deliver value to clients and stakeholders. I enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, building strong supplier relationships, and leading safety and risk mitigation initiatives. When I am not working or studying, I like to spend time with my family, riding bikes, playing basketball, or being outside.
