About Hunter Cooper

I am a second year Practical Nursing student studying at Loyalist College. I have successfully completed four clinical rotations at Quinte Health. Throughout these rotations I have demonstrated professional growth and a passion for learning. I am eager to seek opportunities for development and advocate for my learning. By actively seeking opportunities to enhance my knowledge, skills, and abilities I demonstrated a commitment to quality improvement. In the classroom and clinical setting I am known to encourage and facilitate opportunities for learning among peers. I have developed strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow me to thrive within the interprofessional team. I have displayed exceptional leadership skills creating a supporting environment conducive to learning. Prior to entering the practical nursing program I graduated from Trent University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. It was during my time at Trent University I developed strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills. I have easily transferred these foundational skills into my nursing practice. I have confidence in my ability to apply these skills to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. I am eager and enthusiastic to take on a challenging and rewarding nursing career as a soon to be new graduate.
