I am currently a second-year MSc candidate in Medical Science at the University of Toronto, with a Bachelor of Health Science from Ontario Tech University. My research focuses on addressing health disparities among marginalized communities, particularly Indigenous peoples. Through my thesis, I aim to deepen our understanding of how First Nation patients navigate their cancer journeys and the barriers they encounter. Beyond my academic pursuits, I am the Indigenous Program Coordinator for Engineering Outreach at Ontario Tech University, where I work to elevate community voices and demonstrate that traditional knowledge is integral to STEM, showing that Western knowledge systems are only now catching up.
