About Hunter Preston

I’m a student-centered education professional with a deep commitment to equity, access, and opportunity. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with students, families, and school staff to help navigate academic pathways, increase postsecondary success, and create sustainable systems of support. I currently serve as a District College Readiness Advisor, where I lead our College & Career Center and oversee a team of advisors across multiple campuses. In this role, I design and implement district-wide strategies to improve college, career, and financial aid outcomes — ensuring every student has the resources and guidance to pursue their next step with confidence. My journey began with AmeriCorps, where I served as a college advisor. These experiences shaped my passion for service, leadership, and educational equity — values that continue to guide my work today. I thrive in spaces where relationship-building, data-driven strategy, and compassionate leadership intersect. Whether through one-on-one advising or systems-level coordination, I’m committed to helping students realize their full potential and supporting the professionals who help them get there. Let’s connect if you’re passionate about postsecondary success, leadership development, or transforming college and career readiness at scale.
