About Hunter Will

Learning and service - If I were to pick two words to characterize my professional journey so far, it would undoubtedly be these two. Being a lifelong learner is one of my greatest priorities, and this mindset has been reflected in my placement on the executive deans list of the college of arts and sciences each semester at IU Bloomington. Be it reading new books, taking challenging courses, or sharpening existing skills, a drive to learn can turn foreign problems into opportunities and solutions. That is why I combined my B.A. in Psychology with an Honors Certificate in business management through the Liberal Arts Management program at IU. However, pursuit is meaningless without service. Service to others is the driving force behind human interaction. In my time at IU I have been blessed to be a part of impactful organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters where I am a peer mentor or “big” and also part of the recruitment committee, and Best Buddies Indiana. That is why I’m pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, a career where these two interests combine. My research experience in the cognition and action neuroimaging lab along with my undergraduate coursework have inspired me to pursue a career in this field.
