About Hurmat Ejaz

I graduated from University of Toronto in Environmental Science and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). My previous organizations included University of Toronto, Toronto Region Conservation Authority & York Region, Habitat for Humanity, and Youth Challenge International. I am passionate about the environment and have worked on multiple projects regarding the current global issues. I worked with University of Toronto to make the Mississauga campus more sustainable by introducing waste diversion programs. I worked as a Climate Action Catalyst on the management of food waste in my community through community engagement and by being a liaison between the restaurants and the customers. I have also assisted York Region by doing statistical analysis and finding the possible causes for damage in their water treatment plants. I have outreached for Habitat For Humanity in multiple cities and helped them raise money for the construction of houses for those in need.
