About Husam Hafidh

As a High School Social Studies Teacher at Victory Early College High School since August 2022, I have been teaching U.S. History (Dual Credit), Government, and Economics to 11th and 12th grade students of varying backgrounds and needs. I have a Master of Arts in History from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a Classroom Teacher Certification in Social Studies (Grades 8-12) issued by Texas Education Agency, as well as a TESOL certification issued by Concordia University Irvine. I am passionate about sharing my love of history and social studies with my students and helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in college and beyond. I have experience in tutoring, educational leadership, and curriculum development, as well as coaching academic decathlon and sponsoring e-sports club. I design my own lesson plans, projects, and assessments based on school and district objectives and expectations, and use different teaching and learning modalities and strategies, such as dual credit, online, and ELL instruction. I also evaluate student progress and growth, and create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. I am looking for an opportunity to continue working with diverse student groups and contribute to a thriving and cohesive faculty.
