About Hussein Salemwalla

I am a graduate from the Computer Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. My work experience has been primarily focused towards software development, with exposure to the full development stack. While motivated by continuously improving my skills in all aspects, my main interests include machine learning, control theory, and the aviation and aerospace fields. I am known to manage my time well as I balance a full course load with co-captaining and competing with the university's Varsity Squash team. This has taught me to stay organized at a high level, yet I strive to ensure the details are not forgotten. My role as a captain has exposed me to leadership opportunities allowing me to learn ways in managing a team effectively, which has directly helped me work with groups in the school and work setting. Throughout my education, I have worked in many group projects, but the most notable being our program's fourth year design project, as our team built a modular piano keyboard. This tested my time management skills, yet I learned an incredible amount of technical, collaboration, and design skills as we saw this project from start to finish. It was a great experience in reinforcing many of the lessons learnt over the years in my post-secondary education.
