About Hutton Gaehler

I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, graduating from Lincoln High in 2001. I enjoyed studying photography, and graphic design in high school, and then went on to study music theory in college, always drawn to the arts and searching for my niche. My search took me away from Portland and I spent time traveling and exploring new perspectives. I eventually moved back to Portland in the fall of 2018 to raise my daughter. I accepted a position with New Seasons Market shortly after my return and I have been working at the University Park store ever since, filling a variety of posts and gaining vital experience in retail and wellness. After a little more than four years with New Seasons, the time has come for me to move on and go searching again, this time right here in my hometown. I hope to find a long-term, enriching opportunity that fulfills all of my career needs, with a company that can motivate me to stay put. I am excited to get back out there and see what is available. With 18+ years of customer service expertise, working in multiple positions with an emphasis on sales, I bring a lot of value to any team. I am passionate about creating a positive customer experience in all that I do while also supporting my coworkers and helping the company I work for to prosper. Among other things, I have gained invaluable retail insight and a thorough knowledge of nutritional products and alternative approaches to health and wellness during my 4+ years at New Seasons, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with my customers and promoting the products I believe in. I am an exceptional communicator, personable, and approachable. Customers and coworkers alike describe me as easy to talk to and friendly. I am a self-starter with a good work ethic and an eye for detail and aesthetics. I enjoy creating product displays that will catch the attention of the customer and inspire my fellow professionals to strive for something exceptional. I possess strong leadership skills and always strive to promote a collaborative working environment. I am a good team player with the ability to take the lead when needed. I am also flexible and adaptable, adeptly shifting roles as needed. Above all, I am motivated and determined and ready to work hard and show all that I have to offer.
