About Hwijoon Lee
I’m joining Northeastern University in Fall 2025 as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science. My research focuses on creating a new paradigm for user experience (UX) in the era of AI. As computing environments become more complex and automated, I believe understanding how people interact with technology is more critical than simply building the technology itself. I’m especially interested in applying HCI principles and UX research to interactive systems—like games—to understand user motivations, behaviors, and the context of work environments. By combining these insights, I aim to design AI solutions that feel more natural and human-centric. Ultimately, I plan to develop practical prototypes and design guidelines that shape the future of AI-driven experiences.
