I'm heading up sales and marketing at the Japanese subsidiary of a technology company based in Sweden. Background: From to 2010, I appeared on stage and in TV shows as a comedian. I have experience in comedy-related work, including writing scripts, structuring, directing, and performance. The most important skill I have acquired from my experience as a comedian is not only the ability to communicate, but also the ability to sense when something is not being conveyed. With this skill, I was able to improve my level of communication. When something is not being conveyed, it is important to change the way you express it or use a different analogy. I started learning English again in 2013, and now I speak English at about B2 level. Although I am not fluent, I can communicate in English and get the job done. The important thing is to have a mutual understanding and to think about things from the other person's perspective.
