About Hyunjin Cho
My name is Hyunjin Cho, often known as Jin or Jin-Dominique Cho. I graduated from University of Alberta in June 2013, with BSc in Statistics with minor in Mathematical Sciences. My undergraduate training at the University of Alberta includes many applied courses on Statistics that had taught me how to model and recognize special trends, patterns, groups, and/or similarities suggested by the data of interest. I have taken senior-level undergraduate courses on Statistical Data Mining, Applied Regression Analysis, and Design and Analysis of Experimentation, as well as Mathematical Methods in Statistics and a couple of Actuarial Science courses. As a undergraduate Statistics student, I also had chance to receive training in statistical software and programming languages such as SPSS, R, MATLAB and Java. My recent experience as a Research Assistant gave me an excellent exposure to organization research and predictive analysis. During my RA role I have made various website text/image scraping tools using R and Python, as well as formulating generalized linear models (hurdle, negative binomial, and poisson) for market analysis.
