About Iain Carr

I am a technically-minded, versatile and ambitious product design engineer who has attained an accredited MEng in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. In my degree I played a central role in producing a number of individual and group engineering projects, including developing technical designs and prototypes for a spare wheel kit, a taxi ramp and a ski-mounted security lock. Out with my degree I have been successful in attaining a number of practical, hands-on work experience opportunities with industry leading clients such as ATOS BBC Scotland, RH Morton and Bentley Motors, giving me a real-world understanding of the skills and qualities required to succeed within this fast-moving and challenging industry. Across all academic and practical engineering roles, I have been successful in developing a strong attention to detail and creative problem solving skills, which can be utilised to produce full technical designs and create functioning products in line with client requirements and budgetary constraints I am a self-motivated individual who is committed to continuing my professional development within product design engineering, and I am now keen to apply my understanding of research skills, design tools, methodologies and software to take the next step in my graduate career.
