About Ian Aldrighetti

I am a passionate software engineer who is always looking to improve my skills and knowledge, be it a new framework, language or technology. I enjoy working with others, helping others, and learning everything I can to become a valuable asset to any team.When I was a student at Portland State University in 2015, I joined the PCEP program, which went on for one and a half years (starting January 2014), during which I worked for three companies within the Portland area for six months each. Through the program I was able to gain valuable experience with each of these companies and graduated with real-world experience.My experiences included working at CDK Global (formerly ADP Dealer Services), primarily creating an AngularJS based application for monitoring a RabbitMQ server. I also helped maintain an existing PHP-based application as well.After CDK Global I went to Con-way Enterprise Services, where I initially began on the Pickup to Delivery team. However not long after gaining some understanding of the technologies they use (JSF, EJB, Hibernate, etc.), work was minimal. I was able to move to the EDI Transformation team, where I learned an incredible amount from my teammates, along with contributing an enormous amount to their look and layout of the application.I went back to CDK Global, where I am automated test cases using Selenium WebDriver. With no prior experience with behavior-driven development or such a test framework as Selenium, I learned a lot within a short period of time. I was able to share the knowledge and experience I am gained with others, along with them guiding me as well.I have learned a lot from all my experiences so far, and I hope to continue to learn. For every jump I take, I always look for a company where I can continue to learn, to share and help make an impact.
