About Ian Baxter

I am currently serving in the capacity as an attorney in my firm's Casualty Litigation Department, representing clients in civil litigation before state and federal agencies and courts. My practice focuses on liquor liability, products liability and premises liability matters. My clients include a diverse array of persons and entities involved in a broad spectrum of industries, both heavily regulated and otherwise. Additionally, my practice includes the representation of school districts and other local agencies involved in litigation and subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act. My experience has given me a detailed understanding of the statutes and applicable law, all while provided extensive opportunities to litigate in this area of the law. Aside from direct litigation activities, I have authored and presented on various topics applicable to my practice at conference and industry panels. As a former service industry employee with a detailed understanding of the practical and legal interrelations, a significant of my representative matters relate to bars, restaurants, clubs, and individuals in liquor liability cases in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition to litigation, I have the opportunity to counsel such clients on applicable laws and standards and assists with post-accident investigations. I am certified by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) in responsible alcohol service.
