About Ian Considine
I am a Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) based in northwest England specialising in civil / structural design and project management. Since graduating from university seventeen years ago, my experience covers a range of sectors including nuclear, defence, petrochemical, utilities, commercial, education, healthcare and residential projects. My current role is that of a Consultant Lead CS & A Engineer, working on a civil nuclear decommissioning pilot project. My preference is to work as a freelance consultant using the IPSE Contractor Services Agreement and I am happy to provide quotations in response to tender notices. I particularly enjoy remote working, have A3 printing and scanning facilities, access to structural analysis software and am comfortable using MS Teams and web-based project collaboration software. I am interested in any size of commission and can function as an integral part of a client's design team, a one-man-band working independently to deliver projects, or provide an independent design checking service.
