Hello there! My name is Ian Crotty. I am a technologist with over 14 years of experience in several roles in software development. I am an experienced leader, helping to grow and development high-performing, geo-diverse teams of engineers, increase revenue through innovative product solutions, and achieve corporate OKRs and KPIs. I have performed in every skill area of software engineering, from development, to project management, to product ownership, and leadership. Over the past 5 years, I have used my experience to successfully grow and manage high-performing and critical cloud based software. Here are some of my accomplishments- Grown team of 4 software engineers to a multi-disciplinary team of over 14 across several domain skills - Created Quality Assurance and CloudOps teams to expand knowledge and specialized skillsets in support of continued product excellence - Implemented new processes that aided in sprint completion velocity growing from an average of 50% to over 85% over a single year - Lead initiatives to expand product reporting capabilities through a new analytics and reporting engine, utilizing data warehousing for increased performance - Implemented a public API to expand product interoperability - Launched a continued education training program for all staff, leading to CSM certifications for all developers and certifications in other skill areas for non-developer staff- Spearheaded initiatives in test automation to reduce manual testing times I believe strongly in the power of good leadership and continued education to help better serve the overall corporate goals, as well as creating products that provide value to consumers.
