With experience in every step of the mechanical design process from concept to production, I solve novel engineering challenges in ways that are elegant, reliable, affordable, and easy to produce. I've CNC machined parts for morphing drones, performed thermal analysis on brakes that stop a hyperloop pod travelling 250 mph, and designed autonomous marine vehicles that get ejected from aircraft to monitor the ocean's depths. In my spare time I also tackle ambitious personal projects. In 2020 I led efforts to built a two story home climbing wall at my rental house. In 2023 I bought a multiprocess welder, taught myself to weld, and built my own sheet metal brake. And in 2024 I designed a 50 foot long snow cave in Solidworks, made a blueprint, and organized a 21 person trip to shovel out pounds of snow and build it in the backcountry.
