I am a highly experienced Mortgage Broker with many years of helping clients with their mortgage and protection needs both on an employed and a self employed basis. Whilst working for Skipton Building Society as a local Branch Manager in Crosshills Near Skipton we won various Branch of the Region awards for achieving not just sales objectives but for customer service and for being the first branch to achieve a 10/10 in our Audit Grade. These awards were achieved through working with the staff at the Brach as well as becoming involved with the community and listening to what they wanted from their local Building Society Office. I tried to make the office a warm and friendly environment in which both staff and customers alike were happy to work in/visit Since leaving the building society world I set up 2 mortgage Broking desks for 2 different companies and for 3 or 4 years I worked for myself as a mortgage broker. In approx. 2013 I decided that I would rejoin the employed world and joined Barclays Bank as a telephone mortgage adviser working in a call center which I did for a couple of years before joining RBS as a face to face mortgage adviser. In 2018 I was made redundant and at that time I decided that I wanted to go back to mortgage broking rather than working for a lender as this would give me more opportunities to help clients rather than being tired to one lenders lending criteria. I am able to strike up a rapport quickly, can deal with people on all levels and negotiate to get things done. I am enjoy working with people and helping them with their mortgage goals whether this is just buy their dream home and to build a portfolio of Buy to Let Properties. I have a strong work ethic and can work effectively autonomously. I am eager to learn and have the ability to learn quickly. I now specialise as an whole of market Mortgage Broker offering residential, BTL as well as commercial purchase and re-mortgages
