About Ian Ditchburn

I am the Youth Services Team Leader at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, where I mentor young people and facilitate workshops on leadership, conflict resolution, anti-violence, and healthy communication. In this role, I also train and support staff, apply for grants, and work with community partners to create programs that deliver meaningful outcomes for youth and families. I bring a background in UX/UI design and ethnographic research to my work, using human-centered thinking to design programs that are responsive to the needs and expectations of the youth I serve. This approach ensures our initiatives are engaging, inclusive, and effective. My career also includes work as a support worker for youth with autism, experience as a communications coordinator, and a podcast producer. These experiences have shaped my values of inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity, values I carry into both my professional and community work.
