What am I doing right now- I'm delivering multi $m projects at UQ across the IT portfolio (with unusual projects that span functional and technical IT groups) involving- Identification, categorisation and prioritisation of key services - Cyber audit and readiness of key services - accessibility and inclusivity of UQ's digital environments - rationalising and organising information management within the IT function - community and ethos building around quality, collaboration, and prioritisation In conducting these activities across a range of stakeholders from the CIO to new technical hires I benefit from my- Expertise in providing comprehensive technical IT solutions and support services for all sorts of organisations, with a focus on imagination, excellence and efficiency- Experience (particularly as CEO and various director positions at ARDC) in leading the development of national-scale data assets, cutting-edge platforms for data generation, analysis, and curation, and robust compute and storage services to support them- Skill at executing the operational requirements for large research organisations, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of complex projects (including at two top national research institutes, the QBI and AIBN)- Being a believer in collaboration, participation, and transparency, combining technical prowess with organisational acumen to cultivate high-performing teams that thrive amidst change.
