About Ian Ellul

As a leader, throughout my career I have made it my mission to help people I work with deliver quality work, look for practical solutions and strive for more. Being a determined and hardworking individual, I am able to work well as part of a team or on my own initiative and an excellent communicator at all levels. Twenty-nine years experience in various business environments helped me to achieve a good level and understanding of businesses and business functions, good interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with clients and users. Through my experiences I have acquired a systematic and an analytical approach to problem solving and am well familiar with the software engineering life cycle for development as well as with the concepts and practices required implementing effective information systems. For the past 20 years I have specialised in software QA leading multidisciplinary development teams responsible for R&D delivering a variety of software and communications applications for the client base; working closely with the development teams to ensure high quality products are developed - involved in the whole life-cycle of a new product creation from concept through to launch and to influence the test methodologies used. I am well versed in the design, development, and implementation of test plans. I have had exposure to a variety of tools such as HP QC, LeanFT and QTP automation tools for automated software quality testing (functional and non-functional) and management across a wide range of application environments as well as web-based systems. I am a flexible individual who is quick and keen to learn; and adapt to new ideas especially in roles where I can utilise my expertise and further my career.
