I am a freelance PR consultant, journalist and web/print editor, as well as handling corporate communications and crisis management. I specialise in the leisure, entertainment and media industries but have experience in many other sectors. I am experienced in communication - specialising in critical issues advisory - and creative writing. A successful career in the entertainment, media and leisure industries has resulted from a deep understanding of these businesses at management level, as well as familiarity with the service, commerce and industrial sectors. I am a competent organiser with highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills and a polished and creative public speaker. I have a solid understanding of the application of technology in business and combine a winning personality with a persuasive approach and ready wit. Charity activities include roles as Trustee and Hon. Treasurer of the Royal Variety Charity and the British Plaque Trust (https://blueplaquesite.com). I was also a founder committee member of open-access theatre group, Streatham Theatre Company. I am a Freemason and a member of the showbusiness lodge, Chelsea Lodge No. 3098 where I hold the office of Secretary, and of the Duchy of Cornwall Lodge No. I am also a Companion Rat and a Grand Council member within the showbusiness charitable organisation The Grand Order of Water Rats. I'm a proud cousin of Lord (Michael) Grade, and nephew of the late Lord Lew Grade, Leslie Grade and Lord Bernard Delfont.
