I am a highly experienced & motivated Senior Structural Designer with a proven track record of producing high quality 3D models, & 2D drawings at 1st draft, from FEED through to As Built status, using Aveva E3D, PDMS, Tekla, AutoCAD and Microstation CAD packages, for the design & construction of offshore platforms, LNG plants, petrochemical plants, & FPSO's for top-tier oil & gas projects.Equally adept at working in a team, or autonomously, & able to deputise for lead designer as & when required.I work to prevailing local & international standards including BS, DIN, Norsok, DNVGL, Eurocode, ASME, ABS, GOST, & SEIC to ensure compliance and project requirements are met.Experienced in overseeing construction, installation, & integration activities at site, solving technical queries, & inspecting completed work.I have worked for many top-tier organisations including Wood, Aibel, Aker Drilling, SMOE, Doris, Technip, & Jacobs.Achievements to date include:• Aibel were integrating modules for the new Johan Sverdrup Phase 1 Platform. Engaged as Senior Structural Designer to develop a bespoke dropped object protection system to maintain constant protection for area between static well head platform and moving drilling module. Met with lead engineer to outline basic concept; produced 3D model proposal in PDMS; confirmed materials were fit for purpose and available; and produced detailed schematic, fabrication and installation drawings. Successfully oversaw fabrication, and installation of new safety system with zero issues from fabrication yard or site. The system was patented by Aibel.• Aker Drilling required an upgrade to the H6e Spitzbergen Platform. Engaged as Senior Structural Designer to lead structural design and development of new and replacement steelwork from concept through to commissioning for new BOP, christmas tree, mechanical handling system and access platforms. Attended kick off meetings to formulate plans; produced conceptual design in PDMS 3D model; agreed/planned interdiscipline installation timetable and procedures; produced and issued 2D drawings; and provided technical assistance at Aker Stord dry dock.
