About Ian Gillanders

Throughout my work history I have chosen, and been chosen, to be part of organisations where the people are considered the main point of difference in a competitive arena. In both selling of equipment and working in Production and Operations Management I have been lucky enough to have put my hand to the usual suite of activities found in Mail houses from machine operation, data manipulation, production management and operation management. I then have moved onto selling of Mail House Processing, Printing Presses, Print Finishing, Packaging and related equipment. I have had a lot of success through new business where I build up good relationships with customers this part of Business Development has won some major accounts over the years and has gained repeat business (one customer over the years at CPI and Ferrostaal spent over $30 million dollars with me). While selling capital equipment customers have gained my trust and respect, this is done by demonstrations, presentations and the willingness pick up the phone and chase new business. My personal belief is that successful campaigns are executed because of experienced individuals who work well in a team environment.
