Ian Gilron is an anesthesiologist, Professor of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine, Biomedical & Molecular Sciences and Neuroscience Studies, and Director of Clinical Pain Research at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a co-Principal Investigator of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategy on Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) Chronic Pain Network with continuous CIHR funding since Dr. Gilron conducts research on mechanisms and treatment of pain and is interested in health and science policy related to pain management and opioid use.
