About Ian Gough

Passionate for solving complex problems in the biopharmaceutical industry. My pharmaceutical experience encompasses perfusion bioreactors, chromatography and filtration systems, fill-finish and device-assembly processes. Some highlights include: Experience developing bioprocess PATs and control systems, and designing process equipment for the pharmaceutical and water treatment industries (using Python, AutoCAD, SolidWorks & Blender softwares). Validated pharmaceutical process equipment including compounding tanks, filling machines and device assembly machines. Practical skills manufacturing industrial ultrafiltration systems from scratch including the membranes, system plumbing and control hardware. Proven leadership skills as coach and captain of the Ultimate Frisbee team at McMaster. Graduated Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University's Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering program with a focus on process engineering, including modeling, optimization and control.
